Rowing is a fun way to learn new skills and make friends.
If you like team sports then rowing is a good choice for being part of a crew boat. Likewise if you're one of those people who prefers achieving something on your own, or you find being in a team a bit frustrating, don't rule it out; there are options to row in a single scull. In fact that's how we teach you to row at West Norfolk.
On a West Norfolk Junior Learn To Row course all equipment is provided and British Rowing registered coaches will provide training on:
Safety, both on and off the water
the boats & equipment that you will be using
correct rowing technique
fitness
The course comprises of 6 sessions, followed by regular junior squad training on any or all the following sessions
Saturday 9:30am to 11:30am
Sunday 9:30 to 11am
Thursday 18:00 to 19:30 (seasonal)
Rowing is a technical sport so we do encourage regular weekly attendance.
Fees cover all tuition, use of equipment and insurance.
There are no scheduled Junior Learn to Row courses planned for the remainder of 2026.
You are welcome to fill in an enquiry form and we can contact you when we run the next course.
