Great Ouse Marathon
Great Ouse Marathon this Sunday, over 150 rowing boats going from Denver to Ely. Launching from our site starts 10:30 goes on until just after 12. Three crews from West Norfolk entered, hope the weather stays fine for them. |

Summer Head June 26th
West Norfolk Rowing Club welcomes Eastern Region Recreational Rowers to its summer head race on Sunday June 26th. Please see the Summer Head page for more information. |
Norwich Head
2 crews went to Norwich for the Head Race at the end of February, our first event of the year, see the gallery for some photos. |
Landing extension
work has stated on extending the landing along the bank, couple of new sections of decking have been put down, just couple more to go. |
New Path
Working Party has completed a new path from the slipway to the landings, thanks to Alistair, Dan, Matt S, Terry, Tim and Victoria for their help. |
Tornado arrives at the site
The Aylings double is back at the club following repair and rennovation by Phil and now bearing the name 'Tornado'. It is heavier, more stable and slower than Double or Nuffing but can still achieve a decent speed and is proving fun to row. The Aylings is part of rowing history so good to see it back in use. |
Learn To Row courses
The dates for July and August courses are now up on the website. These are likely to be the last courses this year. Get in touch if you know anyone that would be interested so we can arrange a free taster session. |
09/06/2014 - New boats due to arrive Thursday 19th May!
The three new Swift stable boats, 2 singles and a double, that have been funded by a Sport England grant are expected at the club on Thursday. |
